The Massachusetts Gaming Authority (MGA) has finalized the application procedure for the state’s new sports wagering permits. A total of fifteen businesses have submitted applications.

The MGA received three applications for Category One licenses, five Category Three license applications associated with Category One licenses, and six independent Category Three license applications by the deadline of 2 p.m. local time on November 21st.

Furthermore, one Category Three license application connected to a Category Two license was submitted. The MGA noted that Category Two licenses are only available to existing racetracks or simulcast facilities and will be accepted on an ongoing basis after the cutoff.
