Bet99, a Canadian internet sports wagering and gambling site, has become a member of the International Wagering Integrity Association (IBIA). This action follows closely after Bet99 received authorization from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and iGaming Ontario to provide online betting services in the province.
Bet99 will now be a part of the IBIA’s worldwide betting integrity monitoring and warning network, collaborating with numerous licensed operators from across the globe. This is a vital step for Bet99, as Ontario-licensed operators are required to join integrity organizations like the IBIA.
André Bewerungen, Head of Sports Betting at Bet99, stated that joining the IBIA is essential to their sports wagering strategy, as they prioritize trust, integrity, and the safeguarding of their Canadian patrons. He added that they are thrilled to work with the IBIA to combat unfair practices in sports, as well as corruption and manipulation related to betting, to provide a secure and enjoyable environment for their customers.
IBIA Chief Executive Officer Khalid Ali declared that Bet99’s decision to join the IBIA demonstrates the organization’s position as the leading integrity monitoring body for most Ontario operators.
This action showcases Bet99’s dedication to honesty and further bolsters IBIA’s standing as the top integrity watchdog in Ontario, with more than three-quarters of licensed online gaming providers joining the organization.
“IBIA anticipates collaborating with Bet99 in Ontario and across the operator’s wider global gambling operations to counter the danger of deceitful wagering activity to these markets.”
Bet99 Joins Forces with Kings Entertainment
In September, Bet99’s parent organization, Sports Venture Holdings (SVH), received provisional approval from the Canadian Securities Exchange (CSE) to move forward with its proposed business combination with Kings Entertainment Group.
Under the deal initially unveiled in May, Kings, which operates LottoKings and WinTrillions, will merge with SVH and function as a single entity.
Meanwhile, IBIA has welcomed several new members in recent weeks, including online horse racing and sports wagering brands ZEturf Group and Mohegan (formerly Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment).
