WatchandWager has renewed its agreement with the California Exposition and State Fair Board, enabling them to continue running equestrian competitions at the California State Fair until May 1, 2025.
The agreement also contains a provision to extend the lease until 2030, if both parties consent.
Ed Comins, the head of WatchandWager and the chief executive officer of its parent company, Webis Holdings, stated that this arrangement is a significant event for both WatchandWager and the California State Fair.
“This approval is a major step for WatchandWager’s authorizations in the United States and California,” Comins remarked. “We believe WatchandWager will continue hosting secure and triumphant races at the California State Fair, which is favorable news for horse racing enthusiasts and California’s horse racing community.”
WatchandWager declared in a press release that the renewal is “particularly crucial” because California might be legalizing athletic wagering.
