The U.S. Gambling Federation, in collaboration with Fitch Ratings, sought to gauge the gaming sector’s prospects. Their analysis indicates that most gaming leaders are fairly optimistic about the current state of affairs.
The study delves into prevailing market anticipations and potential shifts over the ensuing six months. To gather this data, they polled 26 executives representing various segments of the gaming realm – global and American gaming corporations, tribal gaming entities, casino proprietors, and individuals involved in the provision and management of gaming apparatus.
A significant 62% of respondents characterized the present business environment as favorable, with an additional 35% deeming it adequate.
However, when prompted to project over the next half-year, a mere 20% of these leaders predicted further industry improvement.
This more guarded perspective appears rooted in anxieties surrounding the economic climate, consumer sentiment, and the overall societal mood.
Nevertheless, despite not anticipating a substantial surge, 65% of the executives still anticipate stability, with conditions remaining comparable to the present.
William Miller, the AGA’s Chief Executive, remarked on the results: “The gaming industry’s unprecedented momentum has persisted into 2023, and the sentiment among gaming executives nationwide clearly reflects this.”
He continued, “While economic challenges are influencing the short-term outlook for our sector, gaming leaders remain confident in the industry’s long-term well-being.”

It’s worth noting that, although supply chain problems have lessened since the previous poll, global instability has arisen as a primary worry for executives, with 31% voicing apprehension about its possible effects.
